Therapy that takes your progress seriously.

Therapy that works

We’re not all talk. Our associate therapists are trained in treatments that are proven to work, like CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-focused therapy — with regular clinical feedback on how to apply these approaches tailored to each client.

Therapy that fits your life

We use a sliding scale because we believe cost shouldn’t determine who gets quality care. You’ll discuss your fee with us during the intake process and we’ll find something that works.

Therapy that centers you

We meet you where you are and follow your lead on what matters. Our associate therapists are trained to work respectfully with people from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences to provide affirming, culturally responsive care.

Therapy with accountability

At most group practices, supervision is a brief weekly check-in. At Attune, our graduate-level and associate therapists receive close supervision and access to cutting-edge technology to make sure you receive the best possible treatment. More accountability. Better care.

We built this because good supervision shapes everything.

Attune was founded by therapists who believe the quality of training a therapist receives shapes their wellbeing as well as the wellbeing of their clients.

We saw a gap in how therapy is delivered. Many practices don’t have the infrastructure to support therapists in getting better over time — supervision tends to be minimal, feedback inconsistent, and there’s no way to measure whether clients are improving.

We are building a practice where supervision is the foundation, where clinical development is ongoing and structured, and where we can see whether the care we’re providing is making a real difference in people’s lives.

Getting started is simple.

1

Save your spot

Tell us a bit about yourself and what you’re looking for. We’ll hold your spot and be in touch as we begin scheduling clients.

2

We’ll schedule an intake conversation

There will be a brief call to understand your needs, answer your questions, discuss fees, and match you with a therapist who’s a good fit.

3

Start therapy

You’ll have weekly video therapy sessions with your therapist. You’ll work together to set goals and track how things are going over the course of your treatment.

Is Attune right for you?

We work with adults throughout California via telehealth. If you’re experiencing things like anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, or chronic stress, we may be a good fit. If you’re not sure, reach out anyway — we can talk through it during the intake call.

  • Adults 18+ in California
  • Individuals seeking affordable, sliding scale therapy
  • Depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD, chronic pain, or significant life transitions
  • Women and LGBTQIA+ individuals seeking affirming care
  • Those comfortable with telehealth (video sessions)

Fees

Sliding scale fees based on income.

Your fee is determined during the intake process based on your financial situation.

We are a private pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. If you have out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

How your care improves over time.

Your therapist uses evidence-based approaches and receives structured clinical supervision after each session. That means a licensed supervisor is reviewing their work, offering specific feedback, and helping them continuously refine their approach to your care.

We also use outcome measurement tools to track your progress throughout treatment, so you and your therapist can see what’s working and adjust what isn’t. The goal is for your care to keep getting better the longer you’re here.

“At most practices, nobody is really checking whether the therapy is working. We wanted to build a place where someone always is.”
— Morgan Bartholomew, PhD & Co-Founder

Questions? We’ve got answers.

Who will I be working with?
+
You’ll be matched with an associate therapist who has completed their graduate training and is working toward full licensure under close clinical supervision. At Attune, your therapist receives structured, detailed feedback from a licensed supervisor after every session. This means your care has more clinical oversight than you’d typically receive at a traditional practice, even from a fully licensed therapist working independently.
What does a session look like?
+
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place over secure video. You and your therapist will work together to set goals and monitor your progress throughout treatment, so there’s continuity and direction to the work from week to week.
How much does therapy cost?
+
We use a sliding scale fee structure based on your income and financial situation. Your fee will be discussed during the intake process. We are a private pay practice and can provide superbills for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.
What if Attune isn’t the right fit for me?
+
That’s completely okay, and it’s part of what the intake conversation is for. If we’re not the right match for your needs, we’ll do our best to connect you with a provider or resource that’s a better fit.
What approaches do your therapists use?
+
Our therapists are trained in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-focused therapies. Treatment is personalized to your needs and goals.
Are my sessions confidential?
+
Yes. Attune operates as a HIPAA-compliant covered entity. Your sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth and your information is handled with full privacy protections. We do not use your data to train any models.

At Attune, we believe your time with your therapist should be fully focused on you. Our AI takes care of the administrative work in the background, so your therapist can show up to every session present, prepared, and ready to support your journey. If you’re curious, here’s a little more about our approach to AI:

Human-centered

At Attune, AI is never meant to replace the care that your associate therapist provides. We design every tool so that clinical decisions are always made by your associate therapist and their supervisor, not the AI model. We use AI as a tool to enhance the care they provide you, not replace it.

Transparent

Our associates and their supervisors are highly trained on the responsible and ethical use of AI. Our tools are designed so that every output that AI produces can be traced to evidence and logic that a therapist can understand, evaluate, and override if needed.

Secure

Every effort is made, in compliance with HIPAA and security best practices, to keep your data secure and to ensure that your care is effective and consistent. Your Personal Health Information (PHI) will never be used to train AI models. Our team monitors our tools to ensure that model performance follows clinical best practices.

Inclusive

We believe strongly that AI models should be built with the populations that they serve in mind. We have developed our tools to minimize bias and support performance across all of the people who use them.
