What It Is
Individual therapy gives you 50 minutes each week with a therapist whose only job is to focus on you. There’s no agenda other than yours — what you’re dealing with, what you want to change, and what you want your life to look like.
At Attune, every associate therapist works under close clinical supervision from a licensed supervisor who reviews their work and gives specific, structured feedback after sessions. That means you’re getting more clinical oversight, not less — even if the face across the screen isn’t yet fully licensed.
We also track your progress from session one using validated outcome tools, so you and your therapist can see what’s working and adjust what isn’t.
Our Approach
Your therapist doesn’t work alone. After each session, a licensed supervisor reviews their work and gives specific feedback on your case. This ongoing feedback loop is what makes Attune different — your care keeps improving the longer you’re here.
“At most practices, nobody is really checking whether the therapy is working. We wanted to build a place where someone always is.”
— Morgan Bartholomew, PhD & Co-Founder

The core difference is supervision. At most online therapy platforms, a therapist works independently once they’re credentialed. At Attune, every associate therapist’s casework is reviewed weekly by a licensed clinical director, meaning a second, fully licensed clinician is directly involved in your care, even though you’re only meeting one-on-one with your therapist.
Your first full session usually starts with your therapist getting a clear picture of what brought you in, your history, and what you’re hoping therapy can help with. From there, you’ll start setting goals together, and you’ll complete brief outcome measures (like the PHQ-9 or GAD-7, depending on your needs) so there’s a baseline to track your progress against.
No. Many people start therapy without a formal diagnosis. You don’t need a name for what you’re feeling to benefit from having a dedicated space to work through it. If a diagnosis is clinically relevant to your care, your therapist will discuss it with you directly.
Most clients meet weekly for 50-minute sessions, which is the frequency generally associated with the best outcomes. Your therapist may recommend adjusting frequency based on your specific situation.
